  1. Some of the 6.8 mm Mausers were later converted to standard caliber 8x57mm short rifles. There is an example known.

  4. There was a Japanese contract of the Mod 1907 that was in a larger 8.? caliber and this was the one in 1914 that was stopped and used for Germany in WWI
